Founded in 2020 in New Zealand, Delaware-incorporated and Portugal-headquartered biotechnology company Nutrition from Water (NXW) utilizes microalgae biotechnology to create highly nutritious, non GMO, protein-packed affordable nutrition and specialised food ingredients. Microalgae require a fraction of the water, land, and energy as other protein sources and emit a fraction of greenhouse gases. NXW’s products including Marine Whey 50 (MW50) have a complete amino acid profile, offering protein, fibre and specialised nutrition solutions cheap enough to scale across the Global South and Africa. NXW is scaling globally with 3+ JDAs and finalising a Pre A round to enable scale up and commercial production runs of 100s of tonnes.
