Emily leads market development strategy for the AgBio vertical at PacBio, the world leader in long-read DNA sequencing technology. She works with R&D, marketing and field teams to design and deliver cutting-edge genomics applications, enabling the development of more resilient and sustainable crop, livestock, food and industrial products.
Emily has spent >10 years working at the intersection of genomics and agriculture. She holds a BS in plant biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from the University of Nebraska with specialization in strategic management and agribusiness. Professionally, she has held roles in biological research, technology licensing, product marketing and business development. She has extensive experience positioning and selling agricultural technologies and negotiating research and licensing deals with agriculture and food companies.
She lives in San Francisco with her partner Jonathan, and they enjoy hiking, traveling, cooking, entertaining, and being involved with the local startup community.
