Danny Wells

Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy

    Danny Wells is the senior and founding data scientist at the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy, where he leads institute efforts in machine learning, sequencing informatics, and multi-omics research in immune oncology. He is broadly interested in understanding the arms race between an evolving tumor and the host adaptive immune response, and has published extensively on this topic including papers in Nature, Nature Medicine, and Cancer Discovery. Before joining the Parker Institute Danny completed at postdoctoral fellowship at UC-Berkeley/HHMI studying the evolution of animal multicellularity, and did his PhD in applied math studying computational tumor immunology, complex systems, and machine learning at Northwestern, where he was an NSF graduate research fellow. He lives in Berkeley.
