Nina DiPrimio

Perlstein Labs

Nina DiPrimio is a scientist at Perlstein Lab, where she aids in the development of HT assays to discover therapeutics for rare genetic diseases using model organisms.  She is also the editor of O’Reilly Media’s BioCoder, a publication delivering stories on what people are doing to make biology more accessible. Nina earned her PhD in pharmacology from UNC-CH, specifically studying adeno-associated virus capsids to engineer enhanced vectors for gene therapy and completed postdoctoral work in synthetic biology at UC Berkeley.
