Andrea leads research to make Google’s productivity apps more accessible for all users with vision, hearing, motor and cognitive impairments. Previously, she was focused on delivering a native experience for the next billion users as part of Google’s localization team.
Before officially joining the world of UX, Andrea worked for 7 years in global corporate communications, lifestyle journalism and non-profit strategy for both Fortune 500s and startups in China and the US.
She’s led research to create a startup’s MVP; designed an e-learning foundation’s China strategy from the ground up to reach 7,000 kids in 1 year; helped define stakeholder communications for a $13 billion merger; and crafted content for a social gaming app featured in the Apple Store.
Particular areas of interest: VR, emerging markets, cross-cultural communications, elderly and aging, and education.
